The firm

A small practice that does fewer things — completely.

Volume compliance shops run on templates and rotating juniors. Ishvaa is deliberately small: the founder scopes your engagement, reviews every filing before it goes out, and stays your single point of contact. Specialists are brought in by domain when your file needs them.

We keep our client list to a size we can serve properly. That is how we protect quality.

  • Written engagement letter and fixed fee before work starts
  • Every return reconciled to source data and checked against a pre-filing checklist
  • Statutory and tax audits signed by an independent Chartered Accountant you appoint
  • Your documents held confidentially, with access limited to people working on your file
How we work

What happens when you engage us

Understand

We map your structure, registrations, obligations and risk areas before any filing starts — and send you a compliance calendar for the year.

Prepare & file early

Returns are reconciled to your books and bank data, run against our checklist and filed ahead of the due date — provided your documents reach us on time.

Report plainly

You get a short monthly note: what was filed, acknowledgement numbers, what we need from you, and what is due next.

Cross-border & domestic tracks

Indian compliance for global and growing businesses

Cross-border work involves RBI, FEMA, DTAA, transfer pricing and MCA rules at the same time. We coordinate the whole stack, so you deal with one firm instead of four.

NRIs setting up in India

You live overseas and are building something in India. You need the structure right, RBI reporting current, and tax clean in both countries.

  • Week 1–2: entity advice, DSC/DIN, incorporation filed
  • Week 3–4: certificate, PAN, TAN, bank account
  • Within 30 days of allotment: FC-GPR on RBI's FIRMS portal
  • Ongoing: monthly compliance and NRI tax return each year
  • Entity choice — usually a Private Limited company for NRIs
  • Incorporation with an NRI/OCI director and shareholder
  • Resident director requirement (Companies Act s.149(3)) planned for
  • FDI reporting — FC-GPR and annual FLA return
  • FEMA compliance on capital infusion and repatriation
  • NRI income-tax return with DTAA relief
  • Repatriation paperwork (Form 145, formerly 15CA; CA certificate in Form 146, formerly 15CB, from your CA)
  • NRO-to-NRE transfer documentation

Foreign companies entering India

Setting up a subsidiary, branch or liaison office. India's entry compliance is dense; we take you through it step by step.

  • Week 1–3: entry-mode decision, subsidiary incorporation
  • Week 4–6: FC-GPR, PAN, TAN, GST, current account
  • Before first remittance: transfer-pricing framework
  • Ongoing: monthly GST/TDS, annual MCA and RBI filings
  • Entry-mode comparison: subsidiary vs branch vs liaison vs project office
  • Wholly owned subsidiary incorporation with foreign shareholder
  • FC-GPR on RBI's FIRMS portal within 30 days of share allotment
  • Transfer-pricing documentation and data for your CA's TP certificate
  • Withholding tax on payments to the parent (s.393, Income-tax Act 2025; formerly s.195)
  • Annual MCA filings with foreign-shareholding disclosure

Exporters & e-commerce sellers

You export goods or services and receive foreign currency. Every inward remittance leaves a compliance trail; we keep it clean.

  • Week 1: LUT filed so exports go out without upfront IGST
  • Week 1–2: bank liaison, FIRC/BRC process set up
  • Monthly: GSTR-1/3B for zero-rated supplies
  • Periodic: refund applications and FX realisation tracking
  • LUT — export without payment of IGST
  • Zero-rated GST returns and refund claims (IGST and ITC routes)
  • FEMA compliance on export realisation
  • FIRC / BRC / e-BRC documentation
  • Softex filing for software exporters
  • IEC, RCMC and DGFT scheme paperwork

Indian startups and growing SMEs

Compliance that scales with you — from incorporation to your first audit — without adding headcount.

  • Incorporation, GST and Professional Tax registration
  • Monthly bookkeeping in Tally, Zoho Books or Sage
  • Payroll, PF and ESI as you hire
  • Monthly MIS for founders and investors
  • DPIIT recognition and startup tax benefits
  • Cap table and ESOP accounting
  • Audit-ready books when you cross audit thresholds

High-income individuals & family businesses

Several income sources, investments in India and abroad, and a family business to run. We keep personal tax and business compliance consistent with each other.

  • Income-tax returns with capital gains (shares, mutual funds, property)
  • Foreign assets and income disclosure (Schedule FA / FSI)
  • Advance tax planning and estimates each quarter
  • Rental income, TDS on property purchase and sale
  • Family-business structure review: proprietorship, partnership, LLP or company
  • Coordination with your CA, lawyer and wealth manager

Working with your CA: statutory and tax audits are performed and signed by an independent Chartered Accountant whom you appoint and pay directly. We hand them reconciled books, schedules and working papers.

Transparent pricing

30 minutes. We look at where you are today, which obligations apply, and whether we are the right fit.

Cross-border & advisory

Quoted per engagement

NRI/FEMA, FC-GPR, foreign company entry and CFO advisory. A single cross-border filing can carry more work than a year of domestic compliance.

Government fees, stamp duty and fees of independent professionals (e.g., your CA) are billed at actuals. Applicable taxes extra.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Is Ishvaa a Chartered Accountancy firm?

No. Ishvaa Consultancy Services is a finance and compliance consultancy (a proprietorship). Work reserved by law for Chartered Accountants — statutory audit, tax audit and certifications such as Form 3CEB or 15CB/146 — is performed and signed by an independent CA whom you appoint directly. We prepare the books, schedules and data they need.

How is pricing structured?

Two tiers. Compliance retainers (GST, TDS, MCA, payroll) typically run ₹8,000–25,000 a month depending on volume. Cross-border work and strategic advisory are quoted per engagement. You get a fixed-fee proposal before anything starts.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. The 30-minute discovery call is free with no obligation. You pay only after you accept a scoped proposal.

Do you work with businesses outside Bengaluru?

Yes. GST, TDS, MCA and payroll compliance can be handled fully online. We work with clients across India and overseas.

I am an NRI. Can you handle both the Indian and cross-border side?

Yes — company formation, RBI/FEMA reporting, NRI income-tax returns, DTAA relief and repatriation paperwork, coordinated in one place.

We already have an accountant. Can you work alongside them?

Yes. We often act as an extension of in-house teams, taking statutory filings, MCA compliance or audit preparation off their plate. Responsibilities are defined in writing so nothing overlaps or falls through.

What if a deadline is at risk?

Every client has a compliance calendar with internal dates ahead of the legal due dates. If documents are late, we escalate early — usually weeks before a penalty could apply — rather than filing at the last minute.

Can you help a foreign company set up in India from scratch?

Yes — entry-mode advice, incorporation, FDI reporting to RBI, PAN, TAN, GST, banking, transfer-pricing documentation and ongoing compliance, including withholding-tax guidance (s.393 of the Income-tax Act 2025, formerly s.195).

Which ITR form applies to me?

ITR-1/2 for salaried individuals, HNIs and NRIs; ITR-3 for business or professional income; ITR-4 for presumptive taxation; ITR-5 for firms, LLPs and AOPs; ITR-6 for companies; ITR-7 for trusts and institutions. We track CBDT due dates and extensions each year — for AY 2026-27, audit-case returns were extended to 21 November 2026.

How do you protect my documents and data?

Access is limited to people working on your file, accounts use multi-factor authentication, and we follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. See our Privacy Policy for details and how to exercise your rights.
